The Grief Opera comes to Liverpool on Saturday 9 May at 7pm at Ullet Road Unitarian Church, 57 Ullet Road, Sefton Park, Liverpool, L17 2AA. This moving original production was created by Nigel Linacre after the death of his son George, in collaboration with jazz pianist Vladimir Miller. It brings together music, reflection, and lived experience of grief in a performance shaped by love, sorrow, and hope.

The performance features international tenor Neil Latchman, rock singer Keri Farish, Nigel Linacre, Vladimir Miller, and a wider cast of performers who know loss personally, including the Sing Their Name Choir. Audience responses describe the work as “beautiful and moving,” “compassionate,” and deeply hopeful.

Tickets are £10 plus booking fee, with entry on the door subject to availability. More details and tickets are available via thegriefopera.org. For those affected by the themes of the performance, support is available from Samaritans on 116 123.
